Internet 101: Wanna Know the "Real" Secret to Making Money Online?

What would you do if you lost your job tomorrow? Unfortunately, most people never stop to think about that until it's too late. They think it can't happen to them. But all you have to do is turn on the television or pick up a newspaper to see companies going out of business left and right. And I'm not just talking about your local small businesses. Some of the largest and most powerful companies in the world are laying people off by the thousands. So, it can happen to you. And what if it does? Are you prepared for the worse?

If you're like most Americans, probably not. Fact is, most people are living paycheck to paycheck! So, what can you do to protect yourself? Answer: Start your own online business. What? You say you can't afford to start your own business? I say you can't afford not to. I know, besides the money issue, you're probably scared and wouldn't even know where to start, right? No problem.

By the time you're through reading this article, if you really want to start your own online business, you won't have any excuses not to.

So, do you want to know the real secret to making money online? Okay. Here it is: Associate yourself with an expert whose been doing it successfully for a number of years. That's it. That's the secret in a nutshell. Sounds simple doesn't it? Well, actually it is. Because I'm going to show you exactly how to do it. That's what I did and it's working for me. And if you simply follow the advice I'm going to give you , it'll work for you too.

Now, I know there are a lot of so-called Internet experts or guru's out there. However, there are only a few really good ones. Unfortunately, far too many of them will just take your hard-earned money and give you little or no useful assistance in return. Don't worry. I'll show you how to avoid them. I've developed a checklist of things you should look for. The following 7 keys must be present in order to insure your online success.

1. The expert must specialize in selling high quality information products like books, newsletters, software, reports, ebooks, etc. Why? Because information always has been and always will be the the number one seller in the world. Selling what's hot will greatly increase your chances for success.

2. The expert must communicate on your level. You must be able to completely understand everything the expert is talking about. This is critical. If you don't understand the information, then you can't very well utilize the information, can you?

3. The expert must be able to show you what specific online marketing strategies and tools actually work and why. (the real secret is making money without spending a great deal of money).

4. If you don't have a product of your own to sell and don't want the headache of trying to create one, the expert must have a plug-in, ready-to-go affiliate program, so that you can start making money immediately. For those of you who don't know what an affiliate program is, it's the hottest way to do business on the Internet today.

An Affiliate program is a program in which you sell someone else's product or service and earn a commission. What's great about affiliate, or associate programs (as they are sometimes called), is they're completely hands-off. You don't have to concern yourself with inventory, shipping, collections, customer complaints, follow-up or anything else. Everything is taken care of for you by the company, (or companies) with whom you choose to affiliate yourself. All you have to do is advertise and promote their product or service. You get to make money online, while learning from a marketing expert. It doesn't get any easier than that. Important: Make sure the affiliate program pays at least 25%. Otherwise, it's going to be very difficult to make any substantial income, unless you're selling a big-ticket item. Also, make sure the expert has professional and effective marketing materials, website, etc. that do all the selling for you.

5. Make sure the expert has an excellent support system in place so that you can get help if and when you need it.

6. Make sure the expert produces the kind of informational products that you would actually buy, and that you find helpful, motivational and enjoy . (Hey, if you're going to sell someone else's products, you'll be much more successful if you actually use and believe in their products.

7. The Expert must have an excellent reputation and be someone whom you trust implicitly, someone whom you would recommend to a family member or a close friend without hesitation.

Anyway, that's it. Those are the 7 keys that MUST be present in order to insure your online success. If you can find an expert who meets all of the above criteria, you're well on your way to starting a successful online business. However, there's one vital ingredient that only you can provide: AMBITION. Without that, no expert in the world can help you be successful.

So, how does one go about finding the right expert? Well, you can do it the hard way and check out the various search engines and directories and end up totally confused and disenchanted from all the hype and garbage you're bound to run across.

Fortunately, you don't have to go through all of that. Why? Because I've already done all the hard work and research for you. At my website, I personally recommend several experts whom, in my opinion, actually exceed all of the above criteria.
