Branding is more than a name or tag line. Complete branding exercises include researching what distinguishes your product, service or company, and then developing a name, logo, tag line, and message that are consistent across all marketing collateral.

A good example of branding is this: Turning a corn flakes into a powerhouse brand - the Breakfast of Champions.
1). Put a plastic bag of corn flakes on a table, and in marker hand write "corn flakes - 89 cents - Wheaties.
2). Now put a box of Wheaties next to it with a sign that says, "Wheaties - Breakfast of Champions, Toasted Whole Wheat Flakes - $4.79".
3). Now ask people which one is better and which one they would buy.
